Maintaining your Makeup Brushes

Makeup brushes are one of our favorite tools and we tend to collect them with enormous dedication and affection.

Cleaning our makeup brushes is a very worthwhile endeavor, a proper makeup brush maintenance can make a big difference on the makeup result and help us to keep a blemish-free skin.

When to clean: if you work as a daily makeup artist, using the brushes in various people, they should be disinfected with an antibacterial spray between each makeup session (You can find at any perfumery or professional makeup shop). Some brushes, especially those who are in contact with liquids, such as the foundations, lipsticks, and concealers, must be washed regularly or whenever they are overloaded with product. 

If you use your brushes only at home, for your personal makeup routine, use the spray every day and wash them every week.

How to clean: With warm water and a small amount of a gentle shampoo, wash your brushes, until the hair is separated like new.

Then allow to air dry in a cup with the hair facing up or let them lay in a dry towel to soak up the excess of humidity.

When they no longer retain their original shape after drying then it's time to buy a new one!
